The Evolution of Chloé

Since its establishment over 50 years ago, the Chloé label has been associated with some of the fashion industry’s most respected designers. The company was originally founded by Jacques Lenoir and Gaby Aghion, two Parisians with a passion for the fashion industry’s finest pieces. The two founders had a significant impact on the success of the company, but there were other individuals who had a more significant impact on the Chloé image.

Current creative director for Chanel and Fendi,Karl Lagerfeld was an essential element in the creation of Chloé. Lagerfeld helped to identify the sexy-chic image of the Chloé label which has remained an important aspect of the company throughout the years.

In addition to world renowned designer Karl Lagerfeld, Chloé also employed British designerStella McCartney in early 1997. Phoebe Philo, Chloé’s current creative director has been a great addition to the team and has done a fabulous job of maintaining the chic, sassy image of the label.

A combined effort of many incredible designers has led Chloé to the forefront of the fashion industry, where it remains today and for many years to come.
