Emilio Pucci launched his label in 1947, a time when fashion became a primary focus among everyday living. It wasn’t long after the launch in 1947 that Pucci’s designs became popular among men and women worldwide. Emilio was the first fashion designer to introduce capris. Pucci decided to open his first boutique in Capris. It was here that he developed the idea for Capri designs and ultimately called his creation the same name – capris. Today, capris remain an essential part of every wardrobe and are one of the most popular pieces of clothing on the market.

Like many other high profile designer labels such as Celine, DKNY and Christian Dior, the Pucci label is now owned by LVMH (Moet Hennessey – Louis Vuitton). LVMH is the fastest growing designer label company in the world and is expected to become the largest luxury designer label on the market.
